Series 1 1950 MY Steering Wheel new Bakelite rim.

    Hello
I have asked this question before and a kind person gave me the right information, sadly I lost the details, sorry.
I am led to believe that a fellow in Perth does new bakelite rims for the 80 inch. Could I ask again for his name and any contact details.
    Many Thanks in advance
    Greg 303

I know he's on the Series Land Rover Australia page on Facebook, goes by the name of ''Uwe Bartelmuss'' He restores old steering wheels and sells them. Quite expensive I'm told

There are a couple of company's in Vic who I believe do them ( Pearl Craft) and ( Yester Years Steering Wheel Restorations) they are expensive & for some reason black finish like S1's have is more expensive. Also I have not bought a Restored Cars Mag for a long time but there was a company advertised in there that did them. It will depend on the condition of your old wheel if it can be restored & cost as well.
I have also seen the one Jerry mentioned on FB.

If one finds it overly shiney, a flattening agent can be added, to achieve the level of sheen desired.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
