    Triumph badges what is it?

Saw this outside the shops in the market square. Has Triumph badges but not sure what it is? Anyone know more?

I saw something like that (only with MG badges) at a mechanic's in Murrumbateman a few years ago - he told me that it was basically a Nissan with a fancy body kit! I strongly suspect that this is, if not the same, something similar.

It looks like a Triumph 2000 roadster from the late 1940's although the headlights are wrong leading to the possibly of it being a replica.

It's like the one I recently posted a picture of, asking what model of MG was it. JerryD let me know, in no uncertain terms, that it was no MG.

    That is a Gentry Roadster.

    Gentry Cars - Wikipedia

Built on a Triumph Herald chassis but made to resemble a MG TF.

While you may think I am all so smart for knowing this - I just put the rego number into the UK Rego Data base and it tells me what vehicle it is .

GOV.UK - Enter the registration number of the vehicle

I know these things because my Jag that I exported to Aust in 1983 is still the data base and the Renault 16TS I drove around went the the wreckers in late 1983 is also in the database despite Uk authorities being advised about both vehicles. If I took my Jag back to the UK, as far as rego authorities are concerned I would just have to get an MOT and insurances and pay the fees and it would be back on the road with its old rego number.
