Grounds for deevorce in Texas, me thinks.

I have previously detailed how I equipped myself with the necessary gear for some painting around the house (Just in time) so you are probably wondering how the job is progressing. Everything went well...up to a point. There I was up the ladder with a brush and small paint container doing some touching up. The wife came in, did her business and left. What she neglected to do was to tell me that she had shifted the 5 litre paint container from in front of the fridge door where I had put it out of harm's way, so that she could get something from the fridge. "Where did she put it?" you ask.
Well for some unknown reason she shifted it....to the base of the ladder.
Now I am not going to go into the details of the ensuing catastrophy when I came down the ladder. The annoying thing was, on hearing me and the bucket of paint coming to grips with one another, the wife came into the kitchen, looked at me and said "Why did you do that?"
Yes, as John Wayne was wont to say "That's grounds for deevorce in Texas."

Well its taken quite a few years but i think i have got SWMBO at last, sorted.

When she takes something such as my bag of tools,or maybe a tape measure, drill,or whatever, out of the work van,it goes back as soon as she has finished with it.

Not much fun driving for an hour to a job and finding there are no tools in the van

I am waiting , dear boy , for a full and comprehensive instruction manual.

via this forum, or even a p.m. if it is too personal. 🤔

Placing a can of paint at the bottom of a ladder is pretty dam silly...

Almost as silly as placing a can of paint in front of a fridge door me thinks. Give her credit, most would have opened the fridge door without even noticing the can of paint.

    P.S
A painter once told me to put paint into a smaller container and use that.
So when the inevitable paint gets knocked over you don't have 4lt or more spilt.
