Here is a photograph of our daughter's first car (the purple one) and her current car (the 90 300 tdi). I can still remember the excitement when she got the purple car. She used it daily and it was very easily run and was easy to maintain. The 90 300 tdi is her daily car now and as she has a horsebox it is a much better tow vehicle than the purple car. It is also fairly straight forward to maintain. Like the New Defender, the purple car does not have a ladder frame chassis, live beam axles or coil springs. Unlike the purple car I don't think the New Defender comes in a cabriolet or soft top version. She has had the 90 300 tdi for almost three years and loves it.
As she did not have a driving licence when she got the purple car and therefore was not out on the public road, the original tyres that came with the car are still on it.
