If you don't have a Queensland licence, you'll have to apply for a CRN.
Hi
Not sure where to ask in this forum. I hope it’s ok or can be moved to other category.
Planning to buy used unregistered car in qld and will come to collect and drive it to the depot for transport.
But when I tried to apply for UVP it ask for qld driving licence.
anyone know whether I can apply UVP in qld eventhough I don’t have qld licence? I live in Melbourne.
Thanks
Gus

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Can you get a VicRoads permit? to "drive it here" The decide to transport it here.

This experience might help. We bought a Jawa caravan from Caboolture last year. Interstate buyers pick up their vans with papers, take them to the Department of Transport office around the corner, get inspected and registrations papers are issued. They then drive home interstate, get inspected, take the papers to their local transport dept and get registration in their state.
It can be done.
Why not just get a tilt tray or hire a trailer to take to the transport depot then you don't have to deal with Qld Transport. Could be same cost as getting permit if you do in non-busy period for tilt tray.![]()
