O/T - Jamo, you've taken Fleagle as your avatar! Do you remember the show?

I supose the bonnet bulge could be for the intercooler, which is a bad idea IMO. Surely out the front is the best place even if it does get a bit crowded with the radiator and the aircon heat exchanger as well. On top of the engine would also make it more difficult to fit an upgrade. The Prado has a top mounted intercooler (very small) which is fed ducted air from somewhere hence no scoop.

Personally I don't like the dash. I think the current dash looks a lot neater. It does give you a tacho and gets the aircon out from underneath which are pluses though.

Why are people surprised at the side air intake? It's been there since the Tdi.

I wish the dealers were able to give out more info. I have to make a decision in the next couple of months whether to keep mine (most likely) or take out a new lease at the end of the year.

Heretic! Blasphemer! He wants the Defender to be ergonomically changed to suit human beings! Persecute him! Persecute him!

I'm only guessing but I think it is Droopy. I might be wrong. I'll have to go google now to see.

    Brilliant show.

It's a bit too "nice" though isn't it ? One of the great features of the Fender is that it's excentric - it has evolved rather than being designed from scratch. And that it's not really ergonomic at all, switches are all in stupid place, the handbrake as in the wrong place and gets in the way, the under window slot things, oh and no carpets. That's what makes it "different" and so ace. This thing looks pretty polished - and that's sad. IMHO.

Yeah... you're almost right. It's "Drooper" the lion.

The other interesting thing here is that the fender will be around until 2010 at least. That is good news

It's never bothered me yet. Worry about more important things, oh "he that should be persecuted for heresy".
