I remember, when I was a tacker in the '50s, that one of the Dohles of Dohles Rocks, probably old Charlie, had brought a juvenile croc back home from a trip up North in the '40s. I also remember, quite few years later, my father telling my Mum that the croc had grown too big for Charlie to keep, so Charlie got rid of it. Just before my father died, five years ago, I asked him exactly how the croc was 'Got rid of' and he couldn't recall.
