Could it have been a Thames, Lionel?
1959 Thames
Hello All,
Can any one recall someone on the forum who were restoring a 1950s Commer or similar style van? I though it was Going Bush. This thought was incorrect. It has been a couple of years ago that the posts were made. Just wondering what happened to the project and who it was doing it.
Kind regards
Lionel

Hello Tins and Gromit,
Yes - that is the one. Okay well not a Commer - a Thames. English ... old from the 1950s. Thank you both for finding it again. No to reacquaint myself with the thread and see what happened the last time there was a post.
Kind regards
Lionel
I am sure he was from Victoria & was restoring it for his wife after he finished his LR think it was a S1. But can't remember his name.
Hello 1950 Landy,
Thank you for the reply. Tins and Gromit were right that it was the 1959 Thames that Cadas is restoring. I just checked and Cadas has some recent posts to other people's threads. Perhaps the restoration has stalled with trying to find what more modern engine and gearbox is to be transplanted in. Tins and Gromit both posted the same hyperlink - see a couple of messages below this one 1950 Landy. The last post on the Thames thread was on the 1st February 2022, 07:36 PM.
Who knows this message might encourage Cadas to do an update? .... Please!
Kind regards
Lionel
It was in the S2 section on 3rd page in Sand blasting Aluminium.
