Thread: It pays to stand up against insurance companies

Hi guys it has been a long drawn sager against the insurance company for a claim for flooding in Oct 2022 I have another assessor coming out to look at the garage again for the Oct 2022 flood. We had a claim about 7 years ago when we where flooded out. They said that they had paid for the garage to be fixed, I said that Mario told me that the garage was knocked back, and the money we did get was for replacing the stumps under the house that was damage, so we never fixed the few dented panels 7 years ago. So since we didn't repair the garage they where not going to give any money to replace the garage totally. I dont want a new garage just the back and front redone And now they found out that money that we where given didn't include the frame to be replaced in the first flood 7 years ago for back and the front. So if I get the money for the frames I will be happy with that as it will only the panels on the back and on the front tilt door that I would be up for. I complained and it went in to a internal review which found out that 7 years ago they never gave any money to replace the back and front frame. This and the council has tied up my time. Council fault for the flood as they haven't cleaned out creek/drain behind my house for years. I am still waiting for them to come out and see me and see the creek/drain, I ring ever week about this, so I hope to see them soon before we get heavy rain again. One thing Mario has taught me and the boys to stand up and fight when you know you are in the right. I still have to put in a claim for all Mario power tools, how many does one need, 2 drop saws 4 drills, etc I probably find all the 10mm socket he kept buying. Heather
