    Qld rego

As a result of my interest in a boat at Boonah and certain not unrelated matters I am considering relocating to the Sunshine State. Early days yet. Question is, what's it like getting rego on an unregistered vehicle ( OKA, light truck here ), cos it's not easy here. Hey, I want the vehicle to be safe for me and other road users, but some of the things here are ridiculous, especially in mind of the fact that we have no annual checks and so gawd knows what you are driving nest to.
So, rego in Qld? Or, there is a possibility also of northern NSW (Kyogle).

    All thoughts and wisdom appreciated.

It's been a long time since I have registered a vehicle in Queensland (I tend to keep 'em and drive 'em forever), but as far as I know it's just a matter of getting the roadworthy certificate. Once registered, there are no annual checks. That may not seem safe to those who are used to the annual "MOT-style" ritual, but I'm not aware of any stats which indicate that QLD vehicles are overall any more dangerous than in other states. In just about any vehicle incident, the cause is driver-error....

Oka being a "heavy" vehicle might have to go over the pits at TMR.

    Best check tmrqld website.

    Cheers Mick
