Series 2 soft door tops

I was at Cooma for the 75th anniversary last weekend.I saw this car with a soft top and the soft door tops.
Are the door tops a custom build?
There was another one there with the door tops as well.
i couldn't find anything similar online.

That is custom as far as I am aware. Certainly nothing I have ever seen or hear of before, and certinly did not come from rover or any of their successors..

Mind you, the same applies to the hood, the tonneau cover, the jerrican carrier and the wheels. My guess is the whole lot are custom. Any of the canvas work could be done by a local tentmaker./tarpaulin maker/or possibly upholsterer, but don't expect cheap.

Hi Anthony,
Are they actually soft door tops, or a padded top to the door bottom.
I believe the door tops are quite easily removed, given the roof has no sides, it would seem likely the owner is happy to be in the fresh air🙂
