With the auto braking, do you still get the hysterical RED LED?
No, just the dash warning flashes up and it beeps. Not sure if I can turn that off - it ****s me no end.

Firstly, it takes ages to load the screen. Then it requires you to solemnly promise not to touch the screen while driving. It gives you about 20 seconds to read this message before it allows you to dismiss it. This it does Every. Time. You. Start. The. Car. Doesn't matter that you just ducked into the shop, and have had weeks to read the message previously. So, you do this many, many times a day. But it doesn't stop there. You then have to reconnect your phone, as it refuses to recognise the phone that you were, minutes ago, listening to music from. Once this is done, and at least CarPlay will remember your song, the sound system is crap. And don't think you can, if you need to wait somewhere, sit and listen to your music with the door open, as the car screams like a banshee if you open the door with the key in, unless you keep it running.

To think, they waited nearly 18 months for this. And paid.......
Sounds like there's something wrong with it. I get the same message but I can press it as soon as it comes up and it goes away, and the phone connects every time and resumes where I was with my music or podcast without intervention. The animation for the screen can be turned off so it comes on within a few seconds - usually before I have my seatbelt on and select a gear, so you don't need to look at all that guff on startup.

18 months - Ouch... I took delivery of mine exactly 5 months from the contracts being signed.

Most of my bitching is because the car ain't mine and I can't **** with it, but I'd never buy one.
Easy setpoint change. Like most new cars, this is stuff you need to wade through and make it work the way you want. On a lot of new cars you can't even change these setpoints so they stay off - they reset to default yuckiness every time you get in the car - that's not something I could live with.

With all the default settings and it not being your car to change them, I can see why it's left a bad impression.

The 18 months is anecdotal, but it was well over 12. And it was an insurer who was buying. Possibly the delay was exacerbated by them insisting on a manual.

Not really too bad a taste, and if someone else was paying the bills I'd accept it, but there's no way I'd pay what it cost out of my own pocket.
