That's not my intention. I can fix that!

My daughters have doen the pushup challenge for the last couple of years. They even installed the app on my phone (maybe that's a hint) :

I must have missed something. I’ve not seen any posts about this. I have no idea what it’s about (except for push-up bras).

Yes. My son was doing it with his mates at school.

The rest of the family signed up including my daughters new boyfriend.

He’s now determined to beat me, and I must admit is currently in front!

As I said, I had no idea what this thread was about until today when I saw a story about it in the local paper.

I won’t join in. I can’t see this sort of thing making any difference. I think it’s a feel good thing for the participants.

From a fund raising perspective you're probably right, however in raising awareness it can be significant.

exercise is going to help with mental health. If we get all the kids that spend each day staring at phones .... off the bums and competing with there online friends by exercising, I can't see this as being a bad thing. Especially with teenagers "I bet you can't beat your Dad ... that might get them off there bums)

I personally don't like the idea of asking people for donations (I don't know how to word that without sounding like I'm attacking the person that started this thread). But that's why I'd never sign off for something like this Also I don't really have anything to prove, so I'm not interested in proving I can/can't do more pushups than someone else (this doesn't mean you couldn't join and just not share you "status/count" if you think your doing well ).

Because this is being shared on social media, and is an "app" on kids phones, it's reaching kids that probably need help the most. It seems to me, kids are really struggling these days, so anything that helps can't' be bad.
