    Memories and information

It seems like a long time ago. Covid Lock downs, vaccine mandates, Covid certificates and Check in requirements. They have mostly all gone now happily.

I needed some dates for a meeting about 2021. No Government site listed a chronological listing and information, Calling Dept Health Vic or Services Vic was the proverbial hand ball Stg Schultz- We Know Nothing!

To say I was surprised was an understatement. 16 March 2020 was the real kick off date here. 27 May 2021 was the monster start date. no go more than 5km from home and much more.

Happily almost all of those things are gone and forgotten. Hopefully after a meeting soon I can put them in the bin again as well

    Edit- the END

I was happy to go along with all those rules to keep my Mario safe. When it broke out his doctor said that he wasn't to leave the house as if got it he wouldn't becoming home. I only went to 3 places safeway/chemist/postoffice when we had orders. I would make sure that I wiped everything and happy to wear a mask. Now everyone goes about there business now, and they all forget all the people that die from covid. We are to quick to for get, and who is to say that something might happen again. It was hard for Mario not going out as he lost time. But at least he had Aulro to read and reply to, and his Fishing Westerport Face book that he ran. Mario said to me that this covid bought out the worst in people. Heather

We have several people in treatment for cancers and other issues with massively compromised immune systems Heather. Even now its a major concern. Not just Covid of course. So many things we would just brush off can hurt others. I am masking up every where as I had a RSV virus last week. The person I am seeing today needs help I think. I hope they can get it as impacts on them and the families is saddly still significant despite almost all restrictions not being in force now.

One navy mate who went down the rabbit hole is now coming to my 40th reunion as he can now fly. I am glad those with other views can come out and it is mostly not an issue. I think talking about what we can do now rather than historical issues is helpful. The impacts on all of us was very intense and has longer term consequences if we do not chat carefully. That goes for both sides of most issues.

Yes I have heard that case are on the rise, and it seems no one cares any more. I have had 5 jabs so for for the covid and I also have had the flue shot as well. And I didnt have any side affect to this 5th jab, first 2 was AZ and 2 Pfizer and this new one Noavax and this one I didn't have any trouble with. As now I am on my own I can not afford to get sick as who is going to look after me. And I have to look after Mario's cat kitty.

Speaking of Gubbmint Depts. How's this?

Yesterday, indoors needed to contact the dept that handles Benefits Card due to one never rcd for me last Sept 22 but she got hers back in Sept but mine never showed up. It is a Blue Card.

She was going through the usual crap of giving the required details as requested, again.

Don't these idiots have a thing called a Data Bank?? I bet they do, being a GD.

When she got to my details she mentioned I was her Husband, (WELL, the cheek of her ) person in GD shot back that they were not allowed to use that title but had to use Partner FFS!!! Indoors exploded & told her that I was her husband of 65 years & she will not change it. Marriage cert. states that & not Partner.
    Go figure.

GD will probably lose another card now, the first call for this was about 3 weeks ago & I was supposed to have rcd it by now but hadn't, hence this followup call.

    Times are achangin'

I am one of the few who had a win over the lock downs

Needed both eyes done due to aggressive cataracts. Eye test was down to one line off losing my licence. No longer driving at night as did not feel safe for me or other road users.

Under normal treatment here is a 2 year wait for first eye then another 2 year wait for second eye. With rate of growth was told I would lose license before first operation was scheduled

During lock down while you could not leave your home except for food the hospital was still operating. Their problem was no one would come in as were concerned about becoming infected with COVID. News focused on hospitals as it was an easy place to get images which reenforced impression that was not a place to go

Call from specialist to ask would I go in as they had places next week due to people refusing to go in for operation. Took the offer and first eye done in 2 weeks. Couple of months later another call would I come in for the other eye. When in for what I thought was the start of the process to find it was the operation

So had both eyes done in 6 months only because others would not go in. Doctor was saying you can see the headlines in the future when all these people who did not come in are at the back of the longer waiting list which had now grown as they did not come In when asked. He was spot on with that prediction
