    Hi,
    I could do it, but haven't and won't. I have 2 led work lights under the tray paralleled with the reverse lights.
    Good for reversing at night.
    It is possible to select reverse and leave the motor running with the transfer case in neutral.

    Probably why driver activated “reversing” lights are illegal. They are supposed to only be operated via the reversing light switch.

    Of course, in practice they are probably not illegal until you turn them on.
