RRC of 33 years now gone

My Sept 84 RRC has gone to a new local owner who is keen to restore it, initially to get it registered ASAP. Its been a farm-only vehicle for the last 12 years, not used for about the last 3 years but seeing it leave after owning it for 33 years prompted mixed feelings. Even though rats completely chewed-off the wiring harness that goes inside at the front of the left front door, it still promptly started using a jumper cable to provide power from the battery to the coil which allowed it to be driven onto the trailer. At least I didn't scrap it and I might see it around in months to come, presumably with more than a hand-brake to slow it down.

It's hard to let go of cars, especially ones with so much personal history. Probably a some of the reason I had to build a shed! I hope you do get to see your Rangie rebuilt or restored and driving around, and maybe even something you could make an offer on.
    Cheers

Its carpets have already been shampoo'd and are reportedly like new again, except for the hole in the driver's one. I think that it will be much loved by its new owner but he has a very long road ahead to get it even just respectable again.

That paddock looks OK having only just reached full flowering where it wasn't too wet to sow, with the 1st 100m still a swamp and another patch over the other side of that hill. The border of the Riverina and South West Slopes runs long the top of that hill.

They certainly are a great looking car..Particularly with those wheels.

My brother had a 4 door '83 for years(had the same bar),and my Father an earlier 2 door, around '76 from memory.
