I'm one , I've attended speedway for approximately 65yrs all over Australia excepting WA and Tas. and in Qld since 1978 at the Exhibition and Archerfield and Toowoomba.
Unfortunately Brisbane International Speedway (Archerfield) has closed for good and all idle promises of a new world are exactly that , with Qld Govt showing very little support even though crowds are higher than NRL at times.
North Brisbane Junior Motorcycle Club offer some motorcycle speedway and I volunteer sometimes for them.
The only other option is Toowoomba (Drayton) which is too much of a drive for me on the heavily policed and camera burdened highway.
Is anyone else in same position as me or heard any true stories about a new venue? I think I have heard them all.

Ronnie would have allowed the speedway to continue but his business partner wanted the money from the property realisation too much.

Was a regular at Exhibition and an uncle used to race but never made the trip to Archerfield. Have been to speedway a couple of times here but tends to be just bikes
