Though I think LRA should give them a free service for a sticker placement on the Fender (good public relations)

Just had confirmation from Simon Christie at 4WD TV that Les Richmond Automotive (there's "LRA" for you Dobbo!) have kindly offered to do the 60k service for Robert & Martine once they reach Melbourne. If you guys are looking at this thread - "Thank you!!!!!!"

I can't believe what a great job Simon is doing in drumming up support. He's also organised a number of other items on the list, so we can't thank him enough. He's doing it because, like the rest of us, he really appreciates what it takes to just break off business and take off and follow a dream. I can't wait to see the interviews on his show. To say that he is "well connected" is an understatement.

    Thanks Simon!

    hey omaroo

if they want some fuel usage figures for the simpson desert i did a crossing last year east to west via the rig, they reckon west to east is easier so i would guess slightly less fuel

when they are in brizzy i recommend driving the beaches north of noosa to double island point and than onto rainbow beach, if the dates work in i would be happy to go for a drive up there with them or at least point them in the right direction

Cheers Weeds - They'll be keeping tabs with this thread (when they get the time, as they're packing like crazy right now I'd guess) so we'll make sure they hook up with you blokes up north.

When in NSW, a visit to Western Plains Zoo should be mandatory. I can put them up for a few nights if required (and if dates work out) - I had two kangaroos grazing less than a metre from the front verandah when I got up this morning, so some experience of real bush might be interesting.

I agree John. It's a great place for foreign visitors to get a look at the broadest section of our wildlife in one spot. They are cruising the NSW area for around 21 days in the January timeslot.... so I'll suggest it to them.

Thanks for the offer too, I'm sure they'd love to stay there!
