    Google translate

When I visit AULRO, I use Google translate so I can understand what is being said in the posts.

Well, Spudfan, I'd like to thank you for at least having your Keyboard set to 'English' and not 'Gaeilge'!

Our kids suggested we watch 'Derry girls', watched an episode of it last night and my wife could not understand a word!

My wife watches a programme about the Irish Customs (you know taxes, import control customs). I can barely understand what the Customs officers are saying (apparently) in English. I doubt that.

    Storm Bird or Storm Boy?

My wife can’t stand the call of the storm bird (aka koel). It starts early in the morning and continues for hours.

Must be a big storm coming if it is bothering Elisabeth from Mt. Gravatt.

When our second daughter was young we used sign language with her so perhaps we could use that here. It would eliminate the issue of the Antipodean accents
