    Had similar with the gearbox section drain on an LT95 years ago.

    Thought the removable filter in the tube behind the plug was blocked so pulled it out to find it clean.

    Got a torch and shone it in the hole. There was a kinda shiny strange looking thing in the far end which I was able to wriggle out with needle nose pliers.

    Turned out to be the reverse gear lock out spring which normally sits right up the top of the trans near the lower end of the gearstick.

    One end had fatigued off and it had come adrift, had a bit of an adventure on its way south and turned out to be a very neat fit where it was having a bit of R&R.

    Still have it somewhere.
