    Hi
Without a window it would be like being confined to barracks for a few weeks.

Confined to barracks would be in a much bigger space. Those on the ship would be envious of you

There may be another spike on the way, but here in Perth many shops and other places where face to face meetings take place, they're removing the plastic barriers they've had for around 2-3 years. Maybe they haven't listened to the news.
We went on a cruise approx.. 12 years ago and I had a bad case of stomach upset with runs to the bog and sickness. Certainly not sea sickness as no matter how rough I don't suffer from that.
From watching the cooking staff at the 'cafe' we saw them take food out of the ovens and put it on trays, then into heated cabinets where they got hot again after cooling off! Now if that isn't a good way to set up a good environment for bacteria growth, I don't know what is.
I did lose a bit of weight over the voyage though....

We went on a cruise 11 years ago with the boys and never again. The buffet was alright on the first day, until we saw people letting there kids go up and get stuff, and handling the food and fill the plate up so much. It was just a pig trough. We started booking in the restaurant where you get served by a waiter there on. The night shows where fine and getting off to see the islands, but that is a money pit. But what got Mario is that a guy asked when the bar opens and it was only 9am, Mario liked to have a beer when we went out to dinner but to just sit there and drink all day is not for him and is a waste. Did Mario take his fishing rods?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

He couldn't make up his mind of which one of the 20+ rods he has to take. Heather

We went on a Russian cruise ship up through New Caledonia, Isle of Pines, etc., when we lived on Norfolk Island. The ship departed Sydney, stopped at NFI for the ship's pax but they couldn't land as the sea was too rough. The Norfolk Islanders put us (and others) into their boats and got us to the ship. They threw out 6-yo daughter up to the ship's crew waiting at a door near the water line. (This was before NFI got the three pax transfer cats.)

On the cruise, we encountered a cyclone so there were a few ill pax on board.

We won't ever so another ocean cruise - they just aren't our thing.

Ron, would that have been the 'Leonid Sobinov'? A mate of mine did an 'Official Ship's Photographer' cruise on her, in the '70s. He reckoned there were quite a few KGB on the staff.
