As I have already confessed, it was a poor piece of driving on my part. I completely forgot that, unlike my Discos, the Oka has it's pumpkins more central. I buggered it up, IOW. I should have stuck with the 38s, but the poor old Perky has trouble turning them.

    That Canter looks pretty capable.

He seemed to take the hardest routes.

I dunno. I've used that method in a car to get unbogged from sand. Pulling on the handbrake stopped the spinning wheel and transferred drive to the non-spinning wheel and allowed me to get moving.

Let's curb the discussion before it becomes political and draws intervention.

me too, In a shorty with the leading shoe assembly if youve got it all set up right the faster the wheel is spinning the harder the leading shoe bites in. The problem in the video is... the foot brake and the hand brake act directly on the wheel hub in a wheel mounted assembly if the axle is snapped off theres no connection from the wheel to the diff therefore nothing to provide the reaction torque through the diff to drive the other wheel.

Dont try pulling the handbrake on in a landy unless the center diff is open... A useful trick if you need to bias torque to the front though......
