I was thinking more a sudden Blowout & not a slow leak but it seems that was thought out.

Hi,
I made one for our 25000km motorbike trip in1976.
It would inflate a car tyre in less than 30 seconds. Carried it on the bike for more than 30 years and never used it roadside.
The BMW had two cylinders, and by un clipping one carby float bowl and turning off the fuel it would still start and run long on the other cylinder long enough to inflate a tyre with only fresh air from the non firing cylinder.
The hose was very sturdy and just long enough to reach the rear wheel if rotated so the valve was forward.
Now, I think they use small CO2 cylinders, small enough to fit a pocket .
Cheers

Cripes! One doesn't get a view of the rock very often & when I have it just appears to be just that, ROCK, so is that a Moss or real undergrowth. It always to me seems to be a barren surface a bit like the Moon actually.[bigrolf] My youngest Bro was a CIG/Liquid Air Manager for years up at The Alice.but I was never privy to a visit A visit to the privy yes, but not the other way around you understand. Yes, I've got a bunch of slides like that too.
Cape York.Another great place.
That Gold D2a was a 5 seater coiler, best D2 we had.By the end of the model run they had them almost sorted. The previous ones were a disaster.
We wanted to go back, but i was never game to in the D4 with all the water crossings.

Thanks for those wonderful photos. It's a bit sobering how quickly "NOW!" becomes...historic. These really are photos from another time, less than a lifetime ago. There's a lesson in that for all of us. If anybody knows what it is, please let me know.
On another note, I wanted to ask about the roof of the cab on that Landy. It looks like some sort of tropical roof. Are you able to tell us a little about that?
Thanks,
John
