    Congratulations Epic Dragon

Hi guys I have been watching Leonie repairing her D2 after her timing gear went in to pieces, cleaning the sump and oil pick etc up from all the debris from the timing gear. And waiting for parts she need. It has taken nearly 3 months to repair it with help from her dad.
Leonie now has her independence back as this is the only car she can drive. Watch the video today of her turning over her beloved D2 after 3 months bought tears to my eyes as I know how much she needs this car to get around. And I am sure Mario would be so proud of her as they use to talk a lot together. Some people might not know her favourite color is purple, so now the rocker cover is a lovely purple, which I am sure she painted her self, being a spray painter, her personal stamp in the D2. She's a better man than....oh, hang on, that doesn't sound right. She's a better woman than I......gosh, that's worse.
Just good on you, Leonie, we're all proud of your tenacity and will do, attitude.

You should see some of the photo's of her sitting on the front with he legs hang inside the engine bay. And it isn't an easy job to replace the timing gear and everything you have to pull off to get to it. I think that's why Mario and Leonie got along as they both have that will do attitude. Heather

How about seeing some get posted. I've pointed a few people at her posts as inspiration for determination and one of the lads (lost a leg to cancer) now has an apprenticeship as a mechanic. It's the "can do" rather than "I can't" that is the ticket.

And yes, given all the available painted surfaces are Purple, I figured that was a bit of a fav

Legs in the engine bay was how I used to service my older cars. Back then you could move from left to right via the front and not take your legs out of the bay. These days you'd need a shoe horn and vaselline to get a big toe in!

I would love to but they are on her facebook page as Mario was a friend of Leonie. And I wouldn't have the right to put them up on any other page. She might see this thread and she might put up some photos her self. Heather

Hi Leonie I don't know how to put up photos as Mario was the tech guy here, cars and computer. Just so happy to see you have your wheels back and there is no stopping you now. Heather

All good. I might use my wifes facebook account to cyber-stalk and see some pics. I don't do facebook.

Any day above ground is a good day I was in ICU with dad for the last couple of days and he's just been moved to a "normal" ward. Any day....
