Dullbird you probably have been off road more recently than me!
I would love to be able to spend money on some bling.
And yes I want a light bar.

Anyone want to buy an engine? Head is totaly redone but it does need a new fuel block. Need the cash to bling up my driveway display vehicle.

but according to discowhite they do come up a little bigger than that, we have had to adjust the steering stops beause they do rub a bit on the radius arms........and because i'm poor and i can't afford a bullbar yet i also had to cut the inside lip of the corner bumper (at the front)

Well i've learnt 2 things today. One, that a 255/70 fits under a disco (is yours a D1?) and that the mongrels came in a 16 inch size (Thinking evil thoughts for a 2nd set of rims if I get a disco )

I checked them out a few months ago, I have heard of horrible on road performance and about half the tread as a same sized Simex, I checked out the tread depth and it is true, to quote Tusker "a false ecomony" considering the manufacturer quoted me nearly $300 per tyre

Sorry I am wrong i just checked the email they sent me $180 each plus freight (the Freight to me was the killer because they had not supplier in my state then, they may do now it was a few months ago) they didn't quote me freight costs on the email though I'd imagine a couple of hundred there.

Pretty sure I have a motorway dealer not 20 minutes from me here, maybe I will have to add them back to the list as a maybe for a weekender tyre

Anyway, I have to get a disco before I stress about getting tyres for one LOL!!!

i know you heard bad things dobbo, but if you talk to phil (discowhite)

he really rates them, he was the one that put me on to them in the first place......he also got really good milage out of them with some thing like only 2mm 3mm wear something like that

and yes they are noisy my'n start singing at 60klm and the steering is slightly less responsive but all i can say is it really depends what you want.........if you are putting tyres this nobly on i don't believe you can expect it to handel like a family saloon......

the way i see it you want a car to handel well on the road don't kit the car out to off road,.... or buy two sets of tyres.......

but i personally don't have a problem with them on the road, but i'm talking from a normal drive situtation........for example i don't pull a trailer or drive at outragous speeds.....

i think it boils down to personal preferance......

and yes i paid 180 a tyre better than the 290 i was quoted for bf m/t
in buying these tyres i saved $600 for that i think i can put up with
the ride not being so responsive

and in reply to pheonix yes i do have a disco 1, but it does have a 2" lift, and i do have a little rubbing on the radius arms, so had to adjust the seering stops a bit (the rubbing was only on full lock)......and please take into account that at the moment these tyres are road use.....and i personally think they will rub off road, others disagree but i will have to see when i get it out

oh and just to let people know that pro comp in vic weregoing to charge me $20 frieght per tyre......but please bare in mind that pro comp are charging $220 a tyre

as for motorway they didn't have these tyres in stock in nsw so they had to send them up from vic which i just picked up from a company which kindly received them for me
