    Poor Japan

I suppose everyone knows what has happen to Japan with the earthquake and the plane crash at Haneda airport. If you where going on a plane do you take notice of the crew going through emergency procedures. When Mario and I and the boys where traveling we always listen to the crew. And we saw so many people that weren't listening and talking and doing what ever. This should be a wake up call for everyone that travels. And yes Brendon is fine he lives no where the earthquake was. Heather

Yes. We got a text from our daughter about 15 minutes after the big quake. She's on the opposite side of the island (near Osaka) from Noto. She certainly felt it but it didn't cause any damage where she lives.

Re the plane, I always read the emergency instructions and watch and listen to the cabin crew.

What has amazed me on previous evacuations videos is the number of people who block the aisles getting their luggage from the overhead lockers.

If I was behind one of those idiots, they'd either get shoved out the door, or trampled.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Yes, Brendon is on that big island that lays in the bay opposite Osaka, he is in Tokushima and working in the government offices there. I can not understand why people would be bother with luggage as that can be replaced but your life can not, go figure some people just think of them self.

Cabin Crew everywhere will ALWAYS instruct PAX to leave their overhead luggage behind...

No nationality is as compliant as the Japanese passenger - That's why EVERYONE got off safely and quickly.

Not a regular / often flyer, I count the seats between mine and exits fore and aft, so I can feel my way out.
