    Any experience?

That is no good. I suspect your problem may be two issues:

    1. Low processing power/RAM with the tablet. To receive, process, and display video takes some decent CPU performance.

    2. Poor wireless signal resulting in transmission losses.

You can’t beat a wired camera.

Interesting. Wonder if that's a factor of poor wifi. Does it improve if your tablet is closer? Do you have access to another device to connect to it? I ask because I was considering one as well.

This all reminded me that I already have something for the OKA... I'll stick with this.. Not wifi, but cabling is easy in the OKA. Bought it about 12 months ago and bunged it in the cupboard.

Galaxy. I have two and a galaxy phone. I'll try the other tablet and phone.
