Yes John I have had those as well saying to claim payment, biggest scam out. I rang centerlink today to see about the health care card again, got in and answered the question, then they say all operators are busy and and hang up. I ring again and they say that they know I was ringing again and thank for calling and hung up again. This system is totally broken when you can not get through and speak to someone for help. Well it looks like I will have to go to Belgrave and try to talk to someone there in person. Not doing it today as they might get the bad side of me today being hung up twice. Heather

Organised relentless mass emails to the minister concerned, opposition, and media.

Get the producer of Mr Bates vs The Post Office to do an Australian sequel - Geriatrics vs The Centre that Stinks. On Netflix, all episodes on binge for more immediate impact.

Seems the post office issue had been in the British media rags for some time but had almost no impact on government inaction.

Such was the impact of the drama that the scandal became a major news story, and on the following day Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced new legislation to exonerate wrongly convicted subpostmasters. Mr Bates vs The Post Office - Wikipedia

I watch Mr Bates vs The post office, and to think it took 20 years to get any where. And the total it took on them all and some end there life because of it. And it reminds me of the robo debt and the people that suffered and how government dept get away with stuff. Heather

Sorry to vent my feelings but Mine is a good News story, don't larf. The other day, Thursday, Carole came home from the hospital' Next day the phone & person Visits started. (A Section set up by the SA Govt. about a year ago) had nurses & "Team Leaders" visiting & offering home assistance with various bits of Equipment arriving. They call it the 'scary' name of "Palliative Care Connect" but as they point out hastily, it doesn't wish to imply End of Life, but Help. Trying to have the name changed they told me, as they should.

Some qualified person, usually a FM Nurse (a Navigator???) Mathew Flinders was one of these but different if you get my drift?? calls in each day.

This business is all so new to me in my uncertainty arrives each day to gather info & make suggestions as Carole progresses. Someone at the horspiddle started the ball rolling.
    I believe.
Thank God I have my youngest Daughter to advise me in the meantime or I'd be buggered. No Kid.

A GOOD NEWS DAY FOR ME.

Carole had a PET Scan @ the RAH ( No, no dogs or cats) Nuclear medicine stuff. Results last night are in While there Tumour has not increased in size & has not spread elsewhere. ONC. is happy with results for now but it may require more regular visits to "drain" her abdomen which is being pressed by other bits of stuff. Home in a few days

.http://Will a PET scan show all canc...s (malignant).

One would have thought here that Sunak MUST have been aware of the situation (well we in Oz were) so why did it take so long to act upon the mess. EGO? or thought they being so precious could get away with it As I understand honest people committed Suicide over it but pollies seem to be immune from getting their arrises well & truly kicked.
Maybe one day they might bring in legislation but I should live so long. Well I might.

Well heeled & Ignorant Pigs that they are, they obviously don't live in the same world. Their God will meet them at the Pearly Gates saying, while giving them the thumbs down "On yer bikes fellahs". Yeah those over there with the crap Lithium Batteries, but recharge them on High for a few hours."
