WoW Re the defender with the S3 roof, I bought it cheap as a rollover. The owner didn't insure it (paid $39990) and was quoted $16000 in parts to rebuild it. I had the parts in the shed to repair it so back on the road it went. I have a new roof to with sunroof in it to pick up and a defender windscreen in the shed so it will be back to original at some time. The 6x6 has the standard width cab and front (standard rover) diff although air locker for those who were curious. There is another one here in Kal. It was originally from Newcastle and is a white dual cab with a tray back.
Hi Lieutenant Rover
Me is not a happy man dude.
WAIT TILL I GET MY HANDS ON TREVOR.
I was in Rovercraft today, there is pics on the counter of your new toy, they new it went to Kal.They tell me the story is Trevor accepted $20 grand for the 6x6:eek:     as a trade on his F250,I was GOBSMACKED.No way I could of raised the $40G,but $20G would have been quite possiple. One of the guys at Rovercraft is also WILD,he told Trevor if he goes to accept a silly price there was $25G cash waiting for him.
At $40G you have a great buy,but $20G is STUPID.Next time Im over Narrogin I told the Rovercraft guy I will take a cricket bat and give Trev a couple of wacks each:cool:

I don't know who the bigger "A" holes are..the car dealers who take people for a ride or the "A"holes who let them:mad::mad:
I am certainly pleased with it, I'll be doing a trip or two that I want to do then possibly put it back for sale but not 20g. At the same time I'll keep it well maintained and with not too many km's. Once I've done my trip or trips someone else will be able to do the same. I'll pull the leaf springs out and rebush them and that so far is the only major job I can find. It will also be the safety vehicle for army cadet weekend bivouacs and a test of my willpower when I have to sleep under a hoochie next to it.
Mate we always used to have one of us sleep in our rover... only basic training dudes regulate the no sleeping Under vehicles not in them:D:D;)Where in the DFDA does it state you can't sleep in your vehicle..it only is in unit SOP's where some boofhead has mistaken sleeping Under and translated to sleeping in.Quote:

Its not that its the little faces peering through the window at me in my comfort zone while their mates are taking the wheels off. I always reversed the GS up to the fire and had my head on the tailgate (pillow of course) so that I could supervise properly. Being an ex pusser I like my bed at night.
Pusser...well its your "rack" then ain't it and I hope you don't "Hot bunk" anymore..:D:D...tell them it is P.O.R;)Quote:

Jamo on here is the Esperance cadets leader, and my mate Baz's mum Julie is the Williams/Narrogin cadets leader. You probably know these people, small world.
