    Odd.

I use Win 10 and Linux Mint 21.3 with Chrome and Firefox (both OS and browsers on my desktop and laptop), Chrome on my iPhone, iPad, and iPad Mini and never have those problems.

I've just spent wasted 10 days in New Zealand and had no issues with my iPhone and iPad Mini.

haha, made me spill my tea Luck had it that the dutchie lines came up just on the new page so imagine my surprise

Anyway, @Tins I learned I new word today! and no I have not yet tried brave. It's based on chromium so -eh-. There are only 3 browser makers in the world, google (chromium), safari (webkit) and firefox (gecko). The rest is all window dressing based on those engines. Also, I used to reckon it was a small price to pay yes. But it has become quite invasive by now for me as end-user so hey, why not throw it up

@slunnie The funny thing is, I never have to click the I am human button. Cloudflare seems to accept that from the get go. I am offended. Calling me human!

@saitch now that you mention it, viewing photo's has become quite bad as well. The hover-over pop-up function simply displays an empty load screen and the image never arrives, exactly as you described. I think there is a relation here? And yes, the site still has less issues compared to my p38 range rover

@p38arover nothing, the behaviour is exactly the same. I log in and immediately get the forum main page, no longer logged in.

@navydiver oh how I mis those days mate Did you know there is a whole doc on the BBS on the webs for those interested.

I went to my ff browser to test the tip from p38arover and came back to safari to post a reply and I could not for the life of me find the "reply" button. Turns out, reading page one and clicking on page 2 (having a laugh) had already logged me out again. I have an old windows gaming rig which I will try in time and I'll dig out my ipad as well to see what's what.

    Cheers,
    -P

bottom line is something is playing with your session cookies

cloudflare human checking "shouldn't" affect them unless your internet security or browser security package is interfering with them.

don't see the issue with any of the browsers i regularly check on the system using a macos beta

If the "new word" was Dutch blame goggle...

Brave is chromium based, yes, but it ain't goggle which is important to me. It natively blocks pretty much all ads, and it has a built in TOR protocol.

Not sure why, but for me Safari is hopeless. It used to be my default, and I still use it for sensitive stuff, but it is slowwwwwww.
Might be that I'm running macOS Sonoma on a 2012 Mac...

It's worth noting that goggle based chromium originally on 's WebKit, although there's probably not much of that left now. And goggle's Chrome has important differences from chromium as well. One thing all chromium based browsers do well is handle multiple open tabs.

Cloudflare is taking about 25 seconds to decide I am human. and gives me a message in red in fine print to check my connection - I don't think it likes satellite connections!
