Major effects I have noted are to ABC radio and TV broadcasts, still running, but nothing like normal (for example, the main TV news last night had no finance, no sport, and no weather). My Netbank was still working, but with a note that some features I did not want to use were not. But I did not go anywhere.
Got an email a short while ago from my brother in Houston - he went to the bank to get some cash - only one ATM working, tellers could not work due to no IT, and the queue to the one working ATM was out the door.
