    Expansion tank sightglass

In my bus is too cloudy to see through, quite likely OEM from '88, so installed by Isuzu in Japan.
Have been told by two different businesses that normal hydraulic fittings are imperial, ( which I sorta knew..) and I'm guessing mine will be metric..
Have found this on ebay.. its close..

Have you tried a similar process to cloudy headlights on the existing one? I did similar on the plastic one on a big air compressor years ago and it came up clear again.
Just give it a good wipe with WD40 or similar and if you can see through it ok it will likely clean up ok.

Less than twenty bucks on eBay, with afterpay if that's an issue.
    Give it a crack.

Hmmmmmmm, calling it a 42mm thread to me sounds like it is probably 1 1/4" BSP anyway, especially when you read their Notes. 1 1/4 BSP is 42.2mm OD.
    Note:
    - Please allow minor errors due to manual measurement. Thanks for your understanding.

If it's the original bottle from '88 wouldn't it be safer to fit a new one.
Old plastic parts tend to be unreliable.

Genuine might be expensive but there must be something similar out there.
