That storm made our local news. I'm pleased to hear you weren't flooded this time.
They where telling us that there was a BIG storm coming they where not wrong there. Hail, lightening that turn dark in daylight. I though I was going to loss my front windows. I did some prep work clean out the drain at the back and I did have all the house gutters cleaned out a couple of months ago not that I knew this storm was coming. Well the creek/drain that is behind me didnt flood like in 2022 where is smashed in the back of the garage and punched a hole and flooded and destroyed all Marios tool etc.. I got the council to put in a bigger header and drain, took me about 9 months of phone calls and emails and they did the work. Mario best mate about 3 door up text me to make sure I was alright. It is nice to have him there just in case I do need help. That is one thing I miss too not having Mario here to keep me clam. Heather

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
It was fun up here as well Heather. I had front row seats from upstairs.

Hi,
Bit of rain and clouds, it must have passed north of Hobart.
Cheers
It was a WILD storm front. I had a BD dinner with the crew. It was a wild window shaking door blown in and even a few broken windows about 10km west of you. The amount of water that blew in horizontally through the door was amazing!
Glad you had and took note of the warnings and were prepared! It was all over in 15 minutes here!
I am so scared of another flood here, as in 2022 losing Mario and then the flood, it did take a BIG toll on me. I did have my son in Japan ring me about bush fire prep last month, asking if the gutter where clean out which where done a few months ago and maybe pack a emergency bag. Mario and I have lived here for over 30 years and have had some big fire here over the other side of the mountain, so they don't worry me as we had gone through a few here. It is strange that I am getting advise from my son and yet I am the parent lol.
Missed us fortunately, just had brief very heavy rain.
Spouting overflowed in a couple of places so when the rain stopped I was out with a ladder.....
A mate in Gembrook had no power from 7.30pm last night until about 5am this morning. Plus there was a tree across the Gembrook-Pakenham road.

Here in the UK they have decided to start naming storms in a similar fashion to how the rest of the world names cyclones/hurricanes and typhoons. For a storm to be named it had to meet the following: there is the possibility of travel delays, road and rail closures, power cuts and the potential risk to life and property
