Searching for a closed business in Queensland

    Hello All,

One of my Series III Land Rovers was apparently owned by Nancy's Rose Farm - Mungar Queensland and has a phone number with a couple of digits less than current local phone numbers.

I did an internet for the keywords: "historic closed business name Queensland". I found lots of hits for historic car registrations, historic car clubs and ditto for motorcycles.

I have frequently travelled through Mungar and it would be good to see where the business was. The tailgate did not show an address.

Any ideas? Help would most greatly be appreciated. Photograph to be attached - once I find it in the gallery.

When I first bought the car the tailgate had been painted over in white and nothing could be seen under the paint. It must have been cheap paint because the sign writing is becoming more visible as the white topcoat weathers away.

    Kind regards
    Lionel

Someone wrote a book about the place perhaps might be something in there?

A history of Mungar / compiled by P.J. Mathis - Catalogue | National Library of Australia

Or try the school receptionist as they are usually well connected with the locals and know who might be able to help. Have used this method successfully more than once
