    My condolences to Roger's family.

I got to know him quite well when we lived in Sydney, and did many trips with him, including a couple of his wonderful "Rovers Restaurant" events.

My condolences to his family and friends. I have known Roger for years, although I have met him only on a few occasions, and I regarded him highly.

    His death is unexpected.

I’m shocked and so very sad and sorry to hear this.

I recall Roger from when I was just a kid at school, his son in the year below. I’m sure it was his County I would see occasionally at the school. Then when I joined the LROC I put the pieces together and made the connection of who he was.

Roger had always been very kind to me over the years, and I’m very sad to hear this news, especially for his family.
    Cheers

Just to express my condolences to Roger's wife and family. We met Roger and Judy in March of this year. Roger and Judy were on one of their seemingly never ending treks. They were coming to Ireland and Roger contacted me to arrange a meet up which we duly did. I put up a post about this meeting and about how interesting a man Roger was to spend time with. Well Roger has gone on another trip now. Probably regaling everyone else up there with tales of his and Judy's travels. They are probably saying "Why didn't we do that?".

A man who touched many and gave his help and wisdom freely, my 110 Defender and I know him well as he was always on the end of the phone, or in person to give help when needed.

    Vale Roger Riley.
    Regards,
    Jon
