We are looking for a very comfortable car/SUV with heated, adjustable (in/out/up/down/lumbar - driver and passenger) and large seats.
It doesn't need to be 4WD and doesn't need to be a LandRover :-0
It does need to be affordable and hopefully reliable.
It does need to have good cargo space so a Wagon is preferred.
It can be new, near new or a few years old.
We might have a budget somewhere south of 45K.
Anyone here have any leads? We haven't started test driving yet.

SupporterTerritory diesel, not sure about heated seats though, maybe in the Platinum version.
Aftermarket parts are cheap but lots of bushes need replacing as they get older.
Cambelt & High Pressure fuel pump belt are a little expensive to get done. From memory..... 160,000km for the cambelt and 220,000km for the HP fuel pump belt.
Our 2WD is close to getting the HP pump belt done.
Other problems we've had :-
One wheel bearing became noisy, I got a complete hub for under $50.
An O-ring failed on the diesel spill rail, PITA to replace, only cost time.
Rear diff bushes replaced.
The 2.7 in the Terri doesn't seem to have the Land Rover engine problems.

SupporterLooked at some Kia Sorrento's and Hyundai Highlanders today (They are basically the same car) - some potential there. Spacious and quite comfortable leather seats , heated and nicely adjustable.
The Kias have a 7 year warranty which makes an early 20's model interesting. The Hyundai's only 5 years.
TD and V6 engine choice - prob prefer the V6.

The Hyundai 2.2 diesel is an absolute honey - economical but surprising performance plus seems to last forever.
