    Wanting a Job

I am looking for a new job and I am hoping Peter Duttons old job might show up on seek.

It is a cushy job with lots of perks and if you are really good at it in three years you can get a big promotion.

And if you are really really good after the promotion and you stick around for a few more years, you can quit with a very generous pension for life.

This sounds like the job for me. Wish me luck everyone if the job does show up.

I was thinking about applying for the job as pope, but the pay was crapp.

Just a side note. This thread is presented for a bit of a laugh. Please don't turn it into a political argument.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Did you bump into big Pete on Seek, Dave? He might be looking for a job at LB.

He would not want to work at Lindsays. I don't either.

On my 3rd trip out of Sydney I was still on the M7 when I rang them and told them that they can stick their job up their arse.

    Worst job I ever had.

    Hello All,

Funny how some comedic situations come true in real life. While not at the same level of each example's hierarchy, the locations that Dave mentioned are the same. Federal Parliament and Vatican City!

Our former elected Federal member was good for warming a seat and eating cake at meetings. They suddenly resigned before their term was up. It was hard to note their disappearance from the local scene due to their previous levels of representative activity. Next thing I see them appear on camera during a news clip about the Pope's death and the very same ex-local parliamentarian has become an Australian official representative in Vatican City!!!

Oh their ability to nod in the immediate background during news coverage of visiting dignitaries was highly developed as well. Our then local member - Mr Noddy!

I suppose there are plenty of seats to sit in and lots of cake to eat, and nod in the background can happen there too. Years of practice does build expertise after all.

I readily admit that the local Federal member before Mr Noddy was a highly effective individual and they belonged to the same party. They also had the common touch.

    Kind regards
    Lionel

Well, Dave, if you miss this job it seems a position may have opened up as the Leader of the party of the colour of grass.

Thats for cows, sheep, rabbits and deer? I always felt names and lables can be corrupted JT. Read a book to my younger two several years ago. A description of 'Gaily' meaning "in a cheerful or light-hearted way:" drew a huge chuckle from the elder of my crew who felt it cannot be used to say the real meaning.

I say Gaily running in green grass is fine myself. Not Green as I am a blue water type of course. I can be stern at times which is Aft of course. Names and misuse of them can be funny or sad perhaps.

Being a political type knowing a lot of people don't or do like you may be similar? Glad I have no idea

Good news for all those who applied for the pope job, black smoke has been seen, so you're all still in the running.

As far as I'm aware, apart from an American 'Pretender', there has never been a Pope David!

If the smoke's still black, why not tidy up the old résumé, Dave?

    p.s. I don't recall a Pope Lionel, either!

But once he becomes Pope, he can call himself whatever he wants. Pope D2 has a certain ring to it, eh?

In a Rangie Popemobile, no less! Being a Landie man, he may be referred to as 'His Oiliness'!
