    Doing the dishes etc..

29 Years ago our second daughter was born. She had a rough start in life. She had a protracted stay in hospital. We live 40 miles from the hospital so we moved up beside the hospital until we could get her home. I had to put a tube down her throat to feed her so we spent a lot of time in the hospital. When we finally got home with our daughter we had visits from the district nurse. She told us to forget about things like doing the dishes and the hoovering and to concentrate on our daughter. Last week, (29 years later ), I told the Mrs that it was about time we started doing the dishes and the hoovering again.....

Prelude, is this an article that could be used in the 'Flat Earth' debate?

We are having a warm dry spell of weather at the moment, so we need to be careful with the water....

Ireland is not THAT far away, if you make the pile tall enough it'll be visible over the curvature of the earth

We are having VERY bad drought here in Southern Aust. Water is destocking farms. I understand many farmers are giving stock away to the Northern places which are very very wet and have grass rather than shooting sheep! Water!

My chat this morning while being paid to do nothing for an hour was on water and "A Dick For a Day'

Before anyone thinks that's X or R rated, its a book by a well know feminists and five other women authors A 70 ish year old lady working with me who pointedly asked me "What do I think of feminists?" was told about the book two days ago!

This morning, she rushed up to thank me as she read it yesterday. Apparently I'm ok despite being a tall skinny white man

Back to water! Ships used to have limited fresh water. Navy ships being leaner than civilian bigger types had saltwater desalination run via our limited fuel supply. 90 Second showers were the rule!!

10 to 20 seconds to get wet, Water off. Soap up then 60ish seconds to rinse! Interestingly the dish washing was allowed all it needed
