    Mary Poppins

    Our recent Qld trip took us to Maryborough.

    We visited the place where the author of Mary Poppins books was born.

    The building used to be a bank. Her father was the bank manager and upstairs was where the family lived

    This was obviously where she got her inspiration for the Mary Poppins story.

    This building was on the corner of a busy street with traffic lights.

    We were amused at the "walk" and "don't walk" light at these lights.

    I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."


    1983 RR gone (wish I kept it)

    My kids loved the marry poppins stuff there. Its a lot of fun if you have young kids with you (mine have mostly grown up now). we have photos with the statue etc as well
