I tell ya what! If I ever catch the bastards that run around sticking black stickers on everyones number plate I'll kill the bastards

Tens of thousands of people see the plates every day.... Why do we insist on hiding them

    Just an observation!!!!

    Cheers

I have always wondered also mike, maybe its a thing from the USA where privacy isnt as good as ours and a rego can give up a lot of info.

Nice Disco , it is worth the wait to find a goodie, our 98 is in similar condition as the previous owner was a retired service manager from...drum roll everybody...... State service manager for TOYOTA.. true story
Log books look like those froma ship not a car, graphic detail on every fault fixed. Side by side with the fender and bonnets up they look like two different engines

That's one helluva clean engine bay!

I knew it, Toyota's don't break because their owners don't take their vehicles offroad....

The 1999 MY Disco I was the last of that model series, so you've go a fine example there - a collectable!

You sure you want to get it dirty?

haha - yes the number plate thing is a habbit. You see, I own a motorcycle and like to do some stunts on it, and when we share these photos on a Mototrcycle Stunt forum we hide the plates, never know whos watching

Im very happy with it, just under 140k on the clock, went over it on Sunday spraying all the plastics etc etc, and she looks a beaut

As for its purpose, wife and daughter like to do some long distance traveling, no real hard core 4x4 or anything like that, but just trekking.

BTW, any Tasmanians here who can give me any hints on some nice spots to tackle?

One of the main reasons in the 4wd world is the potential of illegal modifications... every now and again vehicles spotted in the 4wd mags with their licence plates showing may receive a letter from DOT saying please bring your vehicle in for an inspection

Ummm no thanks... if she's not quite roadworthy i'll cover the plate.. if i know it's all certified and above board i'll leave it be

Now back to the subject at hand... Nice looking rig there Stooge
