I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

That brings it closer to a Land Rover as it's a Stellantis engine made by VM Motori which made diesels for the classic Range Rover.

The V6 KL Heep was a Chrysler Pentastar, pretty sure that's Stellantis Owners of the Fiat Freemont are also lucky enough to get one.

I think Jeep did when it was owned by Diamler Chrysler, then Mercedes sold the Chrysler Jeep Dodge part to Stellantis.

All I can say is good grief...

Is this one of them... the only two choices left in the universe type things?

Seriously I could ramble on and on about both, but I will keep it simple.

Land Rovers - average to crap, the newer the model the more crap they are.
    Jeeps - are all crap.
Two exceptions, A Jeep willy, A series 1 Landy.

If you must because you simply dont listen to good advise, then a D4 2.7
I would have also said a Perentie but their price is just over the top.

    My top Fav other cars:
Mahindra Ute, Lada Niva, 1985 Toyota Crown

Personally I would use a truck, I dont believe towing that much with a vehicle that weighs up to 2.5 ton is a particular great thing and certainly not within my own skill set.
