I'm not sure what the MTR was but there is possibly something the same available but only in 7.50x16. 16 ply and they say it is the nearest thing to bullet proof.
Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link on here but you can type in Roo Shooting Cattle Station Tyres and it will come up.

16 ply! Holy fat St. Patrick, you'd only need enough air to keep the beads in place.
I used 14 ply without issue, on sometimes grossly overloaded semi-trailers.

Are they for a Shorty Land Rover or a Hilux? The 7.50's will probably fit either vehicle anyway.
Sorry, the MTR with Kevlar is the GoodYear MTR with Kevlar. The tyre has an open pattern for traction but they also have a kevlar belted carcass, and a thick carcass in an effort to prevent punctures. They're not available anymore though.

They're for a 93 Hilux 2.8 Diesel.
The 7.00 is a little bigger than the 225/75R16 that I use on the highway. I was thinking 7.50 might be pushing it a bit too much. I have a 7.50 on a rim here that I could try though.
I can easily get hold of some 7.00 x16 8 ply military bar treads, maybe I may have to try them out. I won't be using them on the bitumen, they say they aqua plane in the wet.
Just found out the Road Tracks aren't made in Africa any more but apparently Super Swallow S262 are supposedly still made in Indonesia. But I can't find them in a web search.
Tiron is another RTM copy but only in 7.50.
I was looking at some bar treads, and they were 8ply and only speed rated to 90kmh! This mob have recently got a container load in.

Yeah that's them, I have been talking to him ( Nigel ) and he sounds like a really decent easy going guy.
I'll be in Brisbane next Wednesday so I'll call in and have a look at them. I'm thinking of grabbing some to put aside to have ready when my Road Tracks give up. He only has about 20 left of the 7.00's and he only got them in September. I guess he gets them all the time ( although they have been listed as out of stock most of this year ) I'm getting nervous about getting 7.00's in something narrow and tough, seeing as how all the leads on Road Tracks are reaching dead ends.
I asked him if he sells them to military restoration guys mostly or any to guys that use them on properties. 'Yeah heaps' he said. He sends a lot of the smaller sizes to Western Australia for the guys with Suzuki's on properties.
The 90 kmh doesn't bother me as I might at the most do 4 or 5 kms on bitumen to a neighboring property. He did ask me if I would use them on the bitumen and said you could push them to 100. I reckon I would be a bit nervous at that though. 60 might do me.
I'd have thought 90kph was extremely ambitious for an old HiLux.
Seriously, I dont think it's going to be an issue, for your intended use.
What do you shoot, pigs, roos?
