Incoming Gusts to 100 to 120 km/h Close all upper deck screen doors and Hatches

A few warnings about Lashing down or securing is recommended.

The next 36 hours will serve up a smorgasbord of extreme weather across south-east Australia, from record October heat to dangerous thunderstorms and gale force winds.
The majority of severe weather will result from the passage of a powerful front, however for South Australia and Victoria on Wednesday, a deepening offshore low has the potential to generate winds equal in strength to a category 2 tropical cyclone.
In the meantime, out-of-control bushfires are possible in NSW, as wild winds combine with dry lightning and temperatures up to 16 degrees Celsius above average.

Wouldn't that be ideal conditions for catching sail fish, James?

And the BOM have 'updated' their website today.

It won't work on the Mac or phone..............none of my bookmarked links to direct radar sites work (or any of their other stuff) and I use this info sometimes many times a day.

They're copping a bollocking on regional radio.

It's certainly 'Different'! I haven't done much with it yet. I just had a quick squiz, as my wife isn't happy with it.

They're copping it from every direction, however the old fully functional radar maps can be accessed and bookmarked...........at least for now.

'The following example is for the Mt Gambier 512 composite which is the one I use most:

512 km composite Mt Gambier Radar Loop

'Interestingly' I can access the new headline site with full 'functionality' via that address on the Mac and phone. Go figure!

    Thanks DL, appreciated.

The new radar causes my laptop to run at 100% and is very, very slow.

Edit: It's great to have the simplicity of the old system again.
