Scary thing is that it was a diesel.

I've looked at it and I can't see that it has had a good hit. I think that's the shape of the Prado bar - made to match the ugliness of the car.

Thats what i thought but it maybe the heat warping that cheap jap steel, its not one of those plastic bars is it ?

I think its an alloy bar. I would back that it has had a big hit,, it is a little more than heat would do( its bent before the engine bay is burnt), and one spot light missing.

And just another question, Why is everything unloaded at the front of the car, presumeably it was all in the back,, very strange me thinks

Guys don’t take an attitude of pride and arrogance with this one this can happen to ANYTHING I have seen plenty of burnt out Land Rovers take precautions with any vehicle. (I like Jap crap less than most)
Spinifex dependant upon the time of the year is Bloo%dy dangerous some times you need to think outside the square with this stuff most mining companies remove the bash plates to overcome this issue. I’m not trying to be offensive but anyone who does this type of work and doesn’t take it seriously will pay the price.
Modern petrol powered vehicles with catalytic converters are more susceptible than but modern diesels are not immune to this problem.

Its not only Tojos that have this problem.Im sure if you do a search on "The Calvert Expedition" I recall there were a couple of near misses with V8 Landies,cant remember wether D2 or P38,but they came close to doing a couple of desert V8 burnings(DONT TELL PEDRO)
Also,my ex employer flew past the workshop in his usual FLAT OUT PANIC MODE with parts for a broken down header.I now wish I hadnt noticed the blue smoke and burning grass smell as he went past,he would have torched both the new ****an pootrol ute,a brand new header and the paddock of wheat and all the others the fire got into.BUGGA

I know of many situations which have led to the loss of crops, expensive heads and other equipment because some farmer has ignored the risk and gone ahead with harvesting anyway, in the end what good is a crop that is off in time if you burn half of it.

I also heard of an incident where two kids caught a feral cat, covered it in petrol and lit it, where did it run to? Straight into dads largest wheat crop next to the house of course, they lost the lot, the kid isnt getting pocket money until he retires.
