That's very low km (almost too low) for an 89 RR.
Check that the engine has had plenty of oil changes otherwise it could be full of sludge from too little use.
The 89 was the 1st to have the viscous transfer case but it shouldn't have any problems at those km.

Check the front & loadspace floors for rust (esp. around the fuel filler area).

$$ - anything between $5000 & $7000 if the body is good & the km are genuine.

the disco will leave the stable if i go this way...

    still weighing it all up.....

towing is a big part of the reasoning ....

missus wants to sell the soft top camper trailer and get a poptop and i really would prefer to pull one of them with a v8 than a diesel....

but will have to work it thru...

big week of decisions for me this week... restarting isp, finances, disco giving me the pips, really nice rr coming available and to top it off i gotta go choose some new specs... the pressure never stops :P

$5-7k seems about the norm, but there are always good bargins at a lot less than that which come up.

As an example, I was looking for an '88 model, most of whaich were around the $3.5-5k but picked one up recently for $2.5k with a RWC. 1 owner never been offroad.

The 89's are still a 3.5 til about October and run the old flapper injection system as well. Viscous coupling isn't my thing but with 100K on the clock, they're usually fine for about another 50-70K before they 'sort of' work.

get it as heap as possible. $5K for a good one is ball park for that vintage, but dobn't pay any more than that. There's plenty of earlty 3.9 Discos to choose from now with a CDL (LT230 t/case) for not much more so be careful and don't pay to much.

Good luck. You won't regret it.
