German engineering maybe?
Its what happens when you outsource all your major components to specialists companies (ZF for auto & TC, Peugeot/Ford for engine and GKN for diffs/axles etc).
Best thing that has ever happened, leaves LR to concentrate on the engineering and design which is what they do best.

You won't need to put in a claim, I believe it's the subject of a recall so they will install your leaks automatically. Look for the sticker inside the door when you pick it up.Originally Posted by RichardK

RIP Bucko - Riding on Forever
My 1 year old defender has a leaking transfer case, and mainseal (probably). Both of which LR are denying... LOL. I'll remind them about it more forcefully before the warranty runs out.
I can't complain they have been generous with warranty so far![]()
I know how you feel, Richard! Clocked 58000km today and not a single leak. As for the air..perfect 22deg inside all day! Gee some things are hard to take!
When you bought it you forgot to tick the following options
+ Automatic reapplying rust prevention system
+ extended filter life option with Automatic oil contaminant removing system
+ Return to last location marker system
+ Driveway dust supression system
