    Its what happens when you outsource all your major components to specialists companies (ZF for auto & TC, Peugeot/Ford for engine and GKN for diffs/axles etc).

    Best thing that has ever happened, leaves LR to concentrate on the engineering and design which is what they do best.

    You won't need to put in a claim, I believe it's the subject of a recall so they will install your leaks automatically. Look for the sticker inside the door when you pick it up.

    it's an unfortunate tale that, some folks unfortunately get stuck with a lemon...I on the other hand have been lucky enough to have been stuck with a collander....

    My 1 year old defender has a leaking transfer case, and mainseal (probably). Both of which LR are denying... LOL. I'll remind them about it more forcefully before the warranty runs out.

    I can't complain they have been generous with warranty so far

    I know how you feel, Richard! Clocked 58000km today and not a single leak. As for the air..perfect 22deg inside all day! Gee some things are hard to take!

    When you bought it you forgot to tick the following options

    + Automatic reapplying rust prevention system
    + extended filter life option with Automatic oil contaminant removing system
    + Return to last location marker system
    + Driveway dust supression system
