Cops must develop a sixth sense

Tonight at work, there were a number of female coppers out on the platform outside my signal box. Then yet another turned up but she came inside for a chat - she was a honey, too!

It seems she was normally plainclothes doing criminal investigation work but tonight was doing some uniform duties.

After chatting for about 10 mins, she left. As she did so she stopped a bloke on the platform as he came out of the mens' toilet. I hadn't closed the door so I was able to hear some of the exchanges with this person.

Dunno how she knew, but it seemed this bloke was known to the police (she had done some quick radio queries whilst with him) despite him protesting he'd never been arrested for graffiti work and that he was only on the platform to go to the toilet. A few more coppers arrived and escorted him away.

I've been told by other cops at work that they can pick them. These blokes must give themselves away with body language.

I would believe that. It's probably like when a teacher looks at a kid and just knows that what ever he's done, its the wrong thing. And its also amazing how often they admit it!

If she has that 6th sense she will know when you are hungry, thirsty, need the p38 serviced etc

And she will carry a gun, oh I love women with guns, handcuffs and mace

It wasn't a permanent marker in my pocket - I was just happy to see her!

Ink on his hands?
A faint rattle coming from his backpack perhaps?

Or maybe she just got lucky.

Actually, he didn't have a backpack but he was searched anyway.

A lot of the taggers are known to the station staff - but the magistrates just seem to let them off.
