SAS Rover on P4 of Oz today. What tyres?

    Hi All

Just drooling over the SAS Landy and I started to wonder what sort of tyres they use. Anybody know?

If you have a look at the 6x6 and 4x4 patrol vehicles they are wearing something different. Something similar to the Sime Konvoys that I have. Goodyear extra high miler or something like that.

    G'day Folks
The tyres on the British SAS vehicles look very much like 9.00 X 16 NATO Pattern Bar Treads similar to what is used on our Mogs and Macks. The Aggressive Pattern Tyres that are on the Aust SASR vehicles that are in the army pics look like Dunlop "Triple Traction" that were around a few years ago, they were "Conventional" type (Cross Ply) and were available in 6,8 10 ply they may have gone back to using them as they would be capable of handling the weights carried over harsh stoney ground,as the "Steeltreks" wern't they could also be drawing tyre stocks from U S- Coalition stores, somebody that is still in, may be able to shed light on the subject.

    cheers.
