Funny we were going to go there for OUR honeymoon as well, but my sister went a bought us a week down at Barrington Tops.

I'll have run out of holidays after that and it's impossible to get Christmas off anyway so I won't be able to make it there this year
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Didn't see beer mentioned in your initial post!! , I'd take copious quantities, as a man under pressure, needs a refresher......also if the missus likes wine/champagne, grab a bit of that too, always goes down well just prior to sunset!!.........

That is a definite.... you can buy grog on the island.... but only if you have Bill Gates wallet

I noticed in the shop at Eurong 6 pack of Bundy and cola cans....... $32

I guess that stops people whinging about fuel prices!

If that is for the historic Barrington Guest House, it was badly damaged by an electrical fire a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if they are still operating as there are some cabins, which I assume were not damaged.

If you go, there is no 4wdriving since all of the good tracks have been closed when it was made wilderness area. But I can point you to some interesting places to visit.

fernockulated were heading (handbreak +3 kids from Ade) picking up a mate and family to be up there on the island 16th Dec ended up getting a house back at Orchard, misses idea of roughing it is having a smaller microwave than at home. Till I came along her idea of camping was sun baking in the back yard in Brisy, she had a shock when I took her for the first time, cost me over $1500 in 3 days, but thats another horrible story
